Sorry - Apology from "Samarai Jenn" about the entire fake story

I really hate when stuff like this happens because the next time someone REALLY needs our thoughts or prayers we'll be wondering if this isn't some ploy for sympathy or attention or money.....

It may be funny to some people, but it's not funny to me at all. The sick thing about this story was that apparently some research went into this whole elaborate fabrication. I HAVE had mutiples (twins) and I HAVE had babies in the NICU and the story was pretty convincing.

I guess I didn't stay up on the story consistently enough to be able to spot any inconsistencies. Bravo to the people who flushed this load of (there are lots of words I would like to put here

) out.

It sure would have made a great book. Hope no one got duped to send gifts or money. I think we all learned a good lesson with this one.

I've been worrying about him when I've had my thoughts about this. He's a good guy and I am sure he's given his heart to this whole situation. He's been through enough himself lately, too.

We were chasing this story all day long, the mods and Nifty. I, for one, am exhausted. I wanted to say something to the people who cared and prayed for a poor mother who lost a child but who didn't even exist:

Do not feel that you did anything wrong by caring for a fellow human being who seemed to be having a rough go of it. This was a very complex little set of lies, complete with text messages to unsuspecting BYC members. It's not on you, it's on the perpetrator. No one need feel stupid or gullible. You cared. Nothing wrong with that. One person expressed their suspicions to us and we took it from there. It turned into something no one could have predicted. You are wonderful, caring, compassionate folks.

BTW, Jordan knows now. We've been emailing today.
