Sour Crop or Infectious Coryza HELP!!

No swelling at all. That’s what has me stumped about is it a crop issue or coryza. Lol
Can you call your feed stores and ask for terramycin antibiotic eye ointment? I would assume coryza and go ahead and start treating for it. Put ointment in eyes twice a day until this clears up.

Your other option is an oral antibiotic if you would rather not use the eye antibiotic.

You can also ask a vet to take a swab of her throat secretions and run a pathology test to see what bacteria is present. It can run into $$.

What we do here, unless it's something very obvious, is to suggest treatment for the most likely possibility and see what happens. $25 for some amoxycillin is a fraction of what a vet and testing would cost. https://www.kvsupply.com/item/aqua-mox-250mg-capsules-100-count/P06184/

What is the route given and dosage of that amoxicillin for chickens? And does that treat coryza if that is her issue? Thank you for all your knowledge!

The dose is 250mg once a day for ten days. Amoxycillin is a broad spectrum antibiotic, treating both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Coryza is caused by the bacterium Haemophilus paragallinarum.
