A crop is basically the place where the chicken's food goes and is stored before it hits the stomach. I know there's a more scientific explanation, but that's mine.

It can kill the infected chicken, if you don't do anything about it. Our hen Cricket was going to die. Now she's dealing with ascites, so... Not sure what's going to happen...
