YOU can NEVER be SORRY about PIC overload!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!...oh and your chickens are PURDY and AWESOME!!!! What are the Blue Chickens/ maybe splash chickens?

Got a new camera card that actually works...so I'm sorry in advance for pic overload but I took some long overdue pics of the chickies :)
The BLRW roo needs to find a home if anyone is interested. I think he's black laced but sometimes I see a blue sheen.

OK Just Candled eggs out of 15 ..12 looked to have something inside them, and 3 clear. I left all in there since they are only 7 days in. I didn't see veins(?) but I saw darkness on the sidenext to the air sac. Is this correct or are they not right????

OK hatching Eggs is far worse than raising chicks....Bless that Poor Hens Heart for doing this.....

HaHa...I feel your stress! I have my second setting ready to PIP any minute! NOTHING is happening!!! Hatching is too addictive!!! LOL I have a hard time seeing anything candling...I leave that up to my DD that comes over around day 10 and tells me what's going on... I can see great far off or around the house but years of working on computers are taking a real harsh toll on my eye sight! LOL I just listen for peeps! I should be hearing some any minute!!! Come on 52 eggs...someone MUST want out!!!

How do you count the days to pip and hatch after setting? There are only 21days!!!...(give or take a day or so...) I set eggs Sunday January 29 (01/29/12) at 8 pm...that is a Sunday night... So does that make Saturday 02/18/12 day 21??? Geez...I am just hoping for a pip or 2 or...52??? I WISH!!! LOL!!!

Tomorrow will be day 21. They typically hatch on the same day as you set them (Sunday for you). With a few exceptions, millies always hatch at day 19 for me and marans usually go to day 22. Hang in there til tomorrow. But it might be night before you see anything since you set them at night. Did you stop turning them on Thursday?

Kimberly - did you give my eggs away to someone else? I didn't realize it would be that late in the day when you were available and I had plans with a friend for her birthday. Sorry I missed you. I wish you had texted or called me since FB had to wait til really late tonight.

I left the eggs at Amy's
I did not get a chance to get back online but just long enough to print tickets for DD. I totally forgot to get your number off my desk when I left yesterday morning.
I definitely did not plan to be that late...by the time we got horses and goats fed after our appointments it was almost 4!

I just can not catch up on all the posts! You guys have been so busy!

Yes, the Newnan show was wonderful! And no, I did not get any pictures because I ran out of here and forgot my camera. I had a blast though meeting people and getting chicks! Samantha it was so great meeting you and your family! And thank you so much for bringing the chicks! They were so happy to get into their brooder last night with a light-- they just laid there and soaked up the heat! And they are the sweetest--Thank you Samantha for bringing them and Thank you Patsy for sending them! I will get picture of their growing.

Mary, thank you so much for the creamed honey! It is wonderful! I do hope we were not too piggish and bought too much! DH figured it might be a while before we could get more and he loves honey! Now he is talking about getting bees. Do you sell bees?

Kimberly, thank you so much for bringing the eggs from Amy! I am so excited to see if they hatch and what I get--Amy, they are so beautiful!

Lauren, it was wonderful meeting you and putting a face to the person!

I wished I had met Susanne and her family but our daughter was getting cold and DH had seen every chicken twice--we went out to the show Friday to pick up our Dominique eggs and chicks and met a wonderful breeder of those birds and had gotten to the show early Saturday so the family was ready to go home early. We all had fun and I really did enjoy meeting people and talking chicken! I wish we could do that more often. I will try to get pictures of our Dom chicks and we were able to get 36 eggs from the breeder too so hopefully there will be more chicks there.

OK, I have to get out and check on birds, there is a bad storm going through here right now with lightening so hopefully they are alright. I hope everyone that went had a wonderful safe trip to and from the show!
