My pretty little babies

these would definitely win over those sad little silkies I saw at the state fair yesterday!

Oh Lord that's cute!!! I can't wait for mine to get this CUTE!!!!

Yep, these are from Nikki. I have 4 five month olds and 4 two month olds. They're all so absolutely adorable and sooo sooo sweet. They love petting and cuddling just like a cat or dog would and they're so sweet to younger birds. They all sleep in a big fluffy warm-looking pile in their dogloo. Definitely one of my favorite breeds now

I'm kinda Happy.
The 5 entries in the Union County Fair did well.
The Breeding Trio took 1st
The Laying Hen took 1st
The Young Pullet took 1st
The Young Cockerel took 1st
The Young Trio took 2nd behind another Rhode Island Red Young Trio I do not mind at all Following. They deserved it.

Yes- I took pics of your ribbons. Can't post to BYC via my not so "smart" phone.

Yeah I worry about getting chickens that were vaccinated and then having them pass things on.

I have had sick chickens since the first of September. They are still sneezing. I have used two different antibiotics. I have paid the Chicken doctor Dr. Brown to help me. I have spent more than $100 and I am sooooo tired of trying to treat and getting nowhere. They are not sickly--just sneezing and sometimes wheezing. It means I can't add any new chickens and I have to keep them separate. I also worried that it will eventually spread to my older lf. I have a friend who suggested culling them all at this point. I don't want to do that either BUT I am not sure what the right thing is to do. They are up playing and such. I have lost 2 in almost 6 weeks. My other worry is that they will now be a carrier of this illness and spread it to any new chickens I get. I also worry that any new chickens in the coop will get sick. I do have oxine but I am just not sure how to insure getting all the surfaces. Ughhh let me tell you I am soooo over this illness thing! I don't know how we got it and I don't know what it is. The next one to die is going to get a necropsy--I hope--so I can maybe have an idea of what is going on! Thanks for listening!!
just came across something interesting.
