BTW I use cutler's too...... recommend calling them when you are ready to order though. I wanted a different color of leg bandettes but they were not listed on site cause htey did not carry them. I called to order PINK ones and she only had certain numbers because they were discontinuing them and getting in the color I wanted! I chose to wait an extra 3 weeks and got all that one color! Customer service is GREAT
I have also used Premier1. Good results from both places so far.......

We get a lot of our goat stuff from premier1.......did you see the $13 yellow chicken feeder they had??? holds 15 lbs of feed. which is a good size for my bantams

Lookie what I picked up from the post office today! Happy Valentines Day! They are all settled in the brooder with the week old marans who are terrified of the new arrivals...they are huddled together in one corner observing the newcomers!

Oh, Snick! So cute! What a great gift! My Marans always act like I'm going to kill them when they're little. The most skitterish chicks I've had. But when they're older, they're great! My Wheaten Marans are the friendliest chickens I have! Enjoy your babies!

Nothing sweeter than baby chicks, what a terrific Valentines Day present. So what kinds did you get, I see a wide variety in there. Also, where did you order that you can receive on Mon morning? Most places ship out on Monday. Now I'm wondering what PO is open to receive packages of live chicks on Sunday. LOL Sorry, this is just how my mind works.

Enjoy those chicks. Oh, and I've found that marans are the craziest, wildest chicks ever - but they grow into the most docile chickens you can have. Wierd how that works.

I ordered from McMurray and have been very pleased. All the chicks arrived safely and none looked wilted from the trip. They also let me change my order a week and a half ago..decided to get a different breed. Great customer service so far! Anyway there are 5 RSL 10 BSL. 5 GJ (all those are girls and yes I ordered the JG for Big Daddy

) then 8 straight run frizzles..4 white 5 black and 1 surprize that I just don't know what it is yet but have a sneaking suspicion it might be a cuckoo marans now wouldn't that be a hoot!

So the marans are still in the corner of the brooder but the new chicks don't care..they just tunnel right under them and pop their heads up and say SURPRISE

It's gorgeous here in Greenwood too but windy! My son had the flu all last week and finally is back at school. Now my husband has it. He finally let me take his temperature and sure enough... fever. Poor thing. It's his birthday tomorrow. Knock on wood I stay healthy. Someone has to take care of all of these animals! I thought one of my Marans was egg bound (kind of just sitting down instead of standing up) but now she seems fine. Off to carpool and will be dreaming of chicks.
