Thank you so much Heidi! (Red Bug Poultry) We had the best time meeting you and Lydia and getting our new birds! Kids had a lot of fun picking out fancy french names for everyone last night since the birds are french and the kids are learning French. (It will be easy to remember who is who thanks to your handy color coded leg bands) The one you got from West Knoll Amy, now known as "Aimee," flew the coop this morning and is hiding in a particularly thorny thicket. My daughter Sophie got pretty cut up trying to get at her, so I told her to leave her alone. Hopefully she'll come back tonight! But I thought I would share some photos since I am new here so everyone can see what you brought me:

So, currently we have the baby Standard Cochin rooster "Buzz" and the Black Copper Marans. I got a few more eggs from the Marans today. I am getting some assorted eggs in the mail, along with more eggs that Heidi gave me so I am all set to fill up my incubator. We should have a fun hatch right after Christmas!

Your girls did laid today? I so hoped they would for you! Did they lay in their nest? I hope Aimee comes back home tonight! Oh, and we are having our first hatch of Marans eggs today and yes, we do have several blues Marans hatched out already so I hope you got some of those in your eggs!
