I feel bad for the chickens that refuse to roost in the coop amd instead roost in trees tonight

but they've survived such storms before, and I'm sure they'll last through tonight as well.

I'm thinks some of mine may be better off in trees. I worry about these tarps I have over these kennels here....I just hope they do not collapse the kennels....

OH my I've got a Broody d'uccle. I took all her eggs yesterday didn't know, she was gonna go all broody. Well I gave her an EE eggs and one of hers. Those d'Uccles actually go broody kind of easy and are good moms. I have a hard time finding MFd'Uccles homes so I think I'll just give her one more EE egg or a BO, BR all are mutts now that the rooster/roosters are EE or BluJGxBR.

Or maybe she just wanted to sleep in the nestbox tonight...opps oh well we'll see.

Me too here! So far all is well...just a few loose corners that I tied back down...nothing blown over or sailed away...LOL...YET!!!

We survived but I had a few open coops this morning from traps being blown away....

hey y'all I got a millie roo in with 2 mottledhens. They wasn't laying yet and he was still kinda young didn't have anywhere else to put him well now they laying and he been mating what the heck wood they make something funky I'm sure. I thought about hatching them to find out but with me moving soon fig id better not but I can't stop thinking what they would make. Id pull up the ckn calm but my phone won't pull up the site I guess it to big and I don't have a pc anyone have a guess???

I breed Mille Fleur to Mottled all the time. Mottled is dominant over MF but you may get some with red leakage around the throat. I then take offspring back to MF to get better MF. It tends to make better chevrons and white tipping in the MF pattern.

All my chickens/turkeys/other animals survived the storm I also have 10 silkie eggs on day 10 that survived the power flickering! All the embryos were very energetic at candling today. Hopefully all survive to hatch, I dearly love silkie chicks

That's cool then after. I move I just may hatch a few and work on the millie color then I just picked up a pair of cochins I think they calico not 100% sure what do y'all think I seen him and just thought he was to cute and so pretty very handsome boy I had to have him the hen looks a lot like him just with more white here a pic if it will uploa
