I also have Silver Sussex chicks.

Does any one need EMPTY feed bags. We have been folding up the Purina Green Flock Raiser, The Blue Layena pellet, and the Red game bird bags. I know some people use them for crafts such as making carry bags out of them, so now we have a bunch of them.

Does anyone want them??? or should I just toss them. can they be recycled in other ways??

Let me know

I use them for yard litter...trash type stuff...and coop cleaning and give the "fertilizer" away to a few peeps that want it...If no one needs them I will take them and put them to use other than in the landfill "empty"...HAHAHA some of mine do go there but they are usually full!!!

I am on Johns Island (Charleston area) sure could use some local advise, this is my first try at raising chickens. Main reason is to fertilize my blackberry patch! and get a few eggs. I started with two chickens and a rooster, added one more getting ready to build two more tractors, no telling where it will stop!

Wow it been forever since I been on here a lot has happened since last post sold all the little pug puppys well all but 2 I had to keep 2 will post pics soon they so cute till they chew my on my boots. Also we lost our farm having to move from 13ac to 2ac ekkk never buy rent to own from a pastor. Isn't that bad to say I have put over 20,000 in this place over the last year and he went and sold my farm out from under me karma will catch up with him. So I'm moving from sc/ga line all the way to starr any chicken lovers there????also what would be the best way to move the chickens I don't want to stress them more then I have to

I feel bad for the chickens that refuse to roost in the coop amd instead roost in trees tonight :( but they've survived such storms before, and I'm sure they'll last through tonight as well.
