I just got word from my husband that the chicken coop is finally done!! I can't wait to get home from work and see it! Now to get some inhabitants!! I'll post pictures later... here are pictures I took on Monday night of the curtains I put on the nesting boxes!
This is SO CUTE!!!!! I would probably put something with a steep angle on top of those nest boxes so that no one stands on top & poops on the flat part or on the curtains!! Good luck with your girls!

The ladies have arrived and we already have our first egg! They are so beautiful! I am in awe! Such a great day!
Oh, my, what luxury! The girls are quite impressed with their new digs, I am sure! They did not have that stylish of accommodations here on my farm. LOL Glad you got an egg already. I told your hubby I thought one girl was about to give an egg but not to be surprised if they did not lay for a while until they get used to their new home.

Went to Kris & Robert's beautiful place today! Inow NEED to have some coral blue guineas and I reallllly want a couple turkeys now!! My hubby is going to kill me one of these days!! lol! Kris, what was the breed of the darker colored turkeys again? It'd probably be a while but I think that's the kind I'll want one day

Anyways, I came home with two super adoreable d'Anver hens. They're relaxing after the trip home right now but will soon be introduced to my d'Anver rooster. He will be oh so happy! Thanks again Kris! We love the little girls and enjoyed the visit!

we have actually had a total of 5 eggs already! All 3 layed on Saturday. They are doing great! I think my dog thinks they are his. he doesn't leave the side of the coop the entire time he's outside. It's actually quite cute!
