My husband wants Guineas and Turkeys as well! I am really leaning towards ducks myself!

My favorite of the three has to be turkeys. I like watching guineas, and hearing their alert if anything unusual happened, but mine were never very personable. They are very good at surviving on their own though. I had a half blind male live for many, many years completely free ranged. Ducks are sweet and I love watching them go about their puddles and hear them 'talk' to each other, but they are MESSY. I have 3 three week olds that fill up the ground underneath their hutch with poop and dabble out the water from their water container completely onto the ground every day

I let them free range with the rest of the flock during the day. I'm raising these to be 'pond ducks' on our 4 acre pond, however, so I won't have to keep them contained for long. My turkeys are loud, but they are very personable, not messy, and are good with freeranging. You could be like me, however, and just get every bird you take a fancy to and disregard the cons

Here is our coop & run my hubby is building. Its almost done! Today I am getting 12+ Copper Maran. Fertilized eggs in the mail & tomorrow I am getting 6+ turkey eggs. This will be our first time hatching eggs! I am so nervous!!

Went to Kris & Robert's beautiful place today! Inow NEED to have some coral blue guineas and I reallllly want a couple turkeys now!! My hubby is going to kill me one of these days!! lol! Kris, what was the breed of the darker colored turkeys again? It'd probably be a while but I think that's the kind I'll want one day

Anyways, I came home with two super adoreable d'Anver hens. They're relaxing after the trip home right now but will soon be introduced to my d'Anver rooster. He will be oh so happy! Thanks again Kris! We love the little girls and enjoyed the visit!
I am so glad the girls are all settled in. Just let me know when you want the guineas, and turkeys, they are the Std Bronze, and the friendliest of them all that we have. Of course as you saw they all want to be right with you the whole time.

Isn't their place so awesome!? Turkeys and Guineas galore and so pretty out there! I know you will love the d'Anvers from them! Kris is going to make some spectacular birds with that project.

Help please! I think my 2 roosters are getting sick.

Their breathing sounds weird, nose might be running, warm wattles, 1 rooster sneezed. What can I do to help them?

Get some VetRx!! Put 1 drop on each nostril and rub it in. Then put 2-3 drops down there mouth. Then around 5 drops in there water. If it gets real bad give them 1 shot of Tylan 50. 1cc. And follow up with the VetRx. Within 2-3 days they will be back to normal.
