South Carolina

I'm in the process of moving to Williston, SC. Would love to hook up with some new bird friends along the southern edge of the state.

Hey Silkie, I have a Williston address, but I'm really kinda halfway between Williston and Barnwell. We have chickens, horses, longhorns, and fainting goats. So I understand you're bringing the whole farm from Ohio?

It's between 2 different properties in the Williston area. We're hoping for the almost 12 acres with smaller house instead of only 5 acres with bigger house.

I currently have 4 goats, a pair of pilgrim geese, a pair of peafowl, 10 turkeys, about 10 bantams, about 20 large fowl roosters (most will be in the freezer before the move), about 20 large fowl hens & about 15 coturnix quail. Extra roos definitely go before the move. The peas & geese may go too. Still a lot to move.

April is a good time of year around here. I can't wait till everything greens back up! I've got a girlfriend that is looking for some turkeys to raise and process, she's having a hard time finding anything in our area. Can I ask where the properties are that you're looking at? Maybe I can help shed some light. You can pm me if you like.

PMed you about the locations. I'll have turkey eggs available before the move & will likely have a couple batches in the bator when I move it.

You guys are very far from me. I am up here next to the NC state line. I have a bunch of turkeys in lilac, blue, Royal Palm and Bronze. Though my Bronze are all sold out, I still have about 15 or 20 in the other colors for sale. They haven't made it to freezer camp yet. I will probably have 5 breeding pens this year of turkeys, though I only want 2 but the darn things are so nice.
Everything is mostly on my website but most people don;t like to go there because my website is HUGE! I have a lot of birds and that does not include pages I took the links off of because I no longer breed and raise them. I also have dairy goats and sheep plus raising meal worms for quite a few years now. I dabble in a lot as I near retirement age, I have to put my education in Animal Husbandry and lead Vet Tech/Office Manager to good use.

Close enough for me, especially if you are near I-77. All of my trips back to Ohio will be on 77.

Nope, sorry, not near I-77. I am a few miles off of 26, outside of Inman, which is in Spartanburg.

Less than 2 and a half hours from where I'm moving to & less if I make a detour on a scheduled run down 77. Definitely within reasonable critter run distance by my standards.
