Nope, sorry, not near I-77. I am a few miles off of 26, outside of Inman, which is in Spartanburg.

Thank you! I have been building it for years. The bantam Cochin was my start in it but then I added the peafowl, goats, meal worms, sheep and like I say, I have many pages still out on the internet but have dropped the links from my page. I still get a lot of emails asking if I raise certain birds like the Wyandottes in several different varieties, the d'Uccles, Marans, Araucana, etc. I have cut back a lot in my old age.
I graduated from Dorman in 91, but we moved around a lot. I lived in Little Chicago for a while. Never knew where that town for its name, unless the they grow a lot of peaches in ChicagoI have lived here for 30 years. My daughter went to Chapman. Graduated 3 years ago.
For Sumter folks, I just talked to Southern States. They're expecting 2000 chicks on March 16. RIR's, Wynedottes, Production reds, Buff Orpingtons, and Americaunas.
Yeah, I find this out 3 years and hundreds of dollars lateJust FYI...AmerIcana are not the same as pure bred Ameraucanas.
Agreed. I have EEs as well as Ameraucanas, and love them bothMost backyard chicken owners do not care if they have AmerIcanas, Easter Eggers or purebred Ameraucanas. Breeders are more careful to make sure the public knows and unfortunately I get tons of people asking me if I raise AmerIcanas. I just provide a link to the page on my website where I showed the difference. You don't know until you are educated.
If you have a purebred Ameraucana then you are lucky. They lay glorious eggs. If you have an Easter Egger, you are still lucky. They are hardy layers! However, there is no such thing as an Americana. The hatcheries are just trying to fool the buyers. They should call them Easter Eggers. No harm in that!
