South Carolina

I have several Serama Bantam cockerals for adoption (free to BYC members), 14 weeks old this Wednesday. Out of 10 eggs, 8 were roosters! Hand raised, friendly, will jump in your lap or eat from your hand. They have all been raised together, but I really need to find homes for them, since I have 24 5-week old chicks growing very fast! I also have 2 14-week old pullets, and several laying hens available. I also have a "quad' of Seramas, one rooster and 3 hens, they must stay together, they are a family...great for someone wanting to get a quick start with Seramas. They are a well-established group, lay well, are sociable and Mille Fleur in colors. Seramas are sociable creatures, love to be talked to, and are small birds, which translates into less feed! If interested, please email me and I will post some pictures for you to see. There is plenty of information about them online, and you can also check out my blog...www.pixiechicken.com...for info as well. I want to find good homes for them, and am willing to drive part-way...I live on Wadmalaw Island, south of Charleston. Please pass the word for me! Thanks!

to everyone that has joined since I last posted !

Is there any news on the fall get together ????

I'm not sure, Enola. Where seems like a good location?
I have a hard time thinking of some place that would be easy for everyone. I suppose I should pull out the SC map and put dots where everyone that is wanting to attend and then find a location central for all of us.
Dear Enola seems the farthest. Way down in Greenwood but others need to speak up if they live more of a distance than that.
And I know we need to plan early enough that everyone can get that day off from work, if necessary.
So far I am thinking the lower part of Greenville county and I was going to see if there was a good park where we could have a pot luck lunch.

Hey everybody. If you are in the upstate of SC and you need feed I am about to take over a feed and seed store. There will be a discount for BYC members. Going to be fun....I am near Honea Path, SC.
