I purchase durvet IVERMECTIN POUR-ON for cattle 250 mL for about $15 at Tractor Supply.
Call before going because it sells out fast.
I think the dosage is 1/2 cc for LF and 1/4 cc for bantam applied to the skin between the wings or back of neck. It is supposed to get rid of external and internal parasites.
Amy or Joy, does that sound right? I don't trust my memory. I have it written down someplace.

The schedule I worm just depends. If we have a lot of rainy weather... I do it more often.

For example: Rainy this month, I wormed them, Rainy last month, I wormed them.
When it was hot and dry during the summer, and during the winter, pretty much every 3-4 months then. Once right before summer and right after, same with winter, basically

I use wazine every three months, but when I am doing them once a month I use Amy's method - red pepper powder or flakes if that is what I pick up.

Since I use the ivermectin pour on every three months, the wazine works fine.

I used Wazine at first when I only had a few chickens and it worked great for me. I've used Verm-x, red pepper flakes, pumpkin seeds etc. Now I mostly just add Diatomaceous Earth mixed in with their food on a regular basis and that seems to work very well. This is best to maintain, not to get rid of worms. So you could worm with Wazine and then start on a regular regimen of DE in the food to keep them worm free and healthy. That's what works for me. I can't afford to throw away 2 weeks worth of eggs every few months when using Wazine. I will occasionally use Wazine while my birds are molting and they're not laying anyway. Otherwise it's just the DE.

LOL well yeah there is that egg tossing thing.... DH does not use any wormer....I have used red pepper flakes on his, but he wont toss eggs either. Mine are just my little layers and my silkies & other bantams here. Not like they lay that often.

I would say if you can't toss the eggs, only use it twice a year and use more homepathic remedies between times.
