Moonchild and Avonshire... We are all in the same boat! I imagine a lovely farm with loads of room to roam and they could live out their lives in peace.... Poor Roo Reality! Well at least whatever happens, they were loved while with us!

So you might remember that I got a pullet for my birthday. I was worried about adding her to my 5 other birds. Well I have been looking for another hen. I have had my new pullet in a dog cage next to my other chickens. Today I let them all free range. She ran to the middle of them and never looked back. She is roosting right next to the rooster. Cracks me up. It was so easy. Maybe it was the cage next to them. However my black silkie freaks out when it sees the other silkies. It runs away. I don't think it wants to have anything to do with them.

Since she was in the dog cage, she now thinks she is TOP DOG!, Leader of the Pack! if she doesn't get her way, she will hound the others.

Finally met a flock of banties for the first time today. I had no idea they were so tiny!!! My youngling 4 month old LF Orpington & Ameraucanas already dwarf them considerably!!! SO STINKIN CUTE!!! They're like Peter Pan Chickens... the eternal chick. May have to make room for some of those sweet lil things!!! (can't wait til my hubby hears this...)

What breed of banties? OEGB? Those are tiny as well as Seramas. My bantam Cochins are fluff balls so they don't look as small until they get wet.
