Yay!! ok I definitely need to go if nothing else to meet everyone! I sent hubby the link. Give him some time to ponder while he is in Saudi...

I do NOT need any turkeys, haha. However, I would love to find some EEs, pullets, for laying. :)

Any way to tell if any of those will be available? I tried the site and forum links, but not showing up.

My husband had a name of a guy in Spartanburg. I will see if he knows what he did with the number. There is a 10 hour time difference right now so, I might not hear back until later tonight or tomorrow.

I figured he wanted turkeys after seeing mine. He had lots of plan! I thought it was you this entire time but I think the bug has bit him, as well! I am sure we can set you all up with plenty of great birds!

He's a great guy! I can tell he is the kind that spoils you! And his heart is in the right place. He knew you all would be getting more chickens and birds!:D

Terry wanted me to get some Bronze from you. I loved the silver Auburns but figure I didn't need any more. However, "turkey" man (my Robert, not yours!) has spoken so at some point I will have to buy some Bronze babies from you all. Better start selling whatever hatches here or lays eggs so I can make the more to buy and feed more birds. Geez!

Glad to be a part of this group. I have been lurking for a few years. Finally made the plunge and have met a few other chicken folk. I posted an intro thread over in the beginners section.

As compared to what?

As compared to running free range. When having more room they have more places to hide and have long distances to "fly" (yes only 3 feet off the ground, but it gives them speed). In a pen they can only go so far before they hit a fence.
After firing off that smarty question in response to yours, I am at a loss as to how to advise you. Any way you can cover the top? I am hoping to see someone with more knowledge than me advise you about what is best. Good luck.

Amy, those turkeys are in the incubator and when they see you they peek their little faces and start peeping at you asking for you to come get them :)

Welcome to the new peeps
