I'm nearby in Pendleton. I have my first batch of chicks in the brooder and I can't wait to have more!!! They're a mix of "rainbow layer" pullets from McMurray and at 5 1/2 weeks old I'm finally starting to be able to guess at some of the breeds

I had mentioned earlier in the thread about building a gravity fed watering system. After the hard freezes I experienced last winter, I've decided to go with a pressurized system and taking it out of service for winter, and using individual, 3 gallon, heated waterers during the cold season.
