It was great to meet you as well. You have a lovely farm and some very nice chickens. No eggs on the way home. I waited until I got home with the new girls to put anyone in the new coop so they were all on new territory. I put them in they didn't want to come out of the cage but with some coaxing they came out. The young ones seemed a little tense but once I put them up into the hen house they were fine. I then added my other chickens and they all tried to get under the wings of one of the big girls. My little roo decided once he got in the hen house he wanted back out so he hitched a ride on one of the big girls' back down the ramp to the grass. It was funny. I'll get pics tomorrow. They were all in the hen house when I last checked I'll go check on them before I go to bed.

Jetiki nice to meet you. I had no idea that someone was on here from Gaffney. I am not surprised though because a lot of people here do have chickens. I also found a lot of people from Gaffney in the Scooter club website based in the UK. Some of those own chickens but, are not on this website at least yet.

Hi, Just found the site a few days ago. I have only been in Gaffney about 3 yrs. We like it here.

I've only had chickens about 2 weeks its an adventure so far.

currently in goose creek sc (charleston) with no chickens but ina year will be in wagener sc thats in aiken county 30 min southwest of columbia and i will be looking to buy cochins

Hi all! I'm in Aiken. Was bitten by the chicken bug a few months ago. Started with 5 in March. Incubated, and a hen went broody, up to about 41. Have 2 Black Sex link young roosters (5 months) if anyone is interested - and a month old salmon favorelle rooster from eggs I got from "Bantyman" on BYC. All these guys need new homes.
