The Crazy Chicken Lady
Ah! My lovely tubs!
Actually I think they are 4' long and 2 'wide. The metal sheep tank is 6', I am pretty sure. The plastic tubs came from Walmart but you can only get them at Christmas. They sell them them for tree storage.
I bought these many years ago when DD got into Guinea Pig showing and needed space for "herds". They like to run together since they are very sociable creatures.
The first year they were $24 each. Now they are almost $40! I looked at buying more last year but was just too cheap. I have mended these numerous times since DD is a bit rough on them when cleaning and now that they are almost impossible to repair she gives them to me! But they are holding in there.
Brandy,
I am so glad you have a close source for chicks. I think you will love all the selections. They are just too much fun to watch mature and it is funny to hear that the roo is already trying to protect his hens. He will be fine. A lot of it will be posturing to see how much you will take, I guess.
None of my BLRW boys have been bad, at all. I let the BLRW trio out to free range each evening and every time Guy sees me he comes running. He is such a love. Although I like to think that, I really understand he knows I mean food and treats. It gives me a warm feeling and a huge smile so I keep thinking he loves his mommy!
