Those bantams are my weakness. No telling what I have. One set of pics is thought to be OEG barred or crele. Other little ones that I have no pics of are darkish with chipmunk stripes

Brown with chipmunk stripes could be silver duckwings. Watch for them to lighten up to a silver gray color.

Oh that would be awesome. I could walk over to the bin & see what they are looking like since starting to feather out......but too lazy LOL

Awwww....I love those polish chicks!!

Ok, I love all chicks but the polish just make me smile. I would call that white-crested white. And from the pics it looks like a pullet, but don't hold me to that. I usually have to look down at the tops of their heads to see. Hens have wider, more uniform feathers and a neat crest while roos have narrower feathers and messier crests. It looks pretty neat and round from the pics. Very cute chicks.

oh my gosh my little polish looks just like yours.. from the description of pullet to roo.. oooh I think mine might be a roo.. the crest feathers are more like a Mohawk and messy.. funny little guy stands up straight and his tail straight up .. looks like a white road runner... hence the name "Mee- Beep" I cant wait to see your updated pics to my little guy it will be fun to gauge against each other.

Don't know how many it will hold its huge, its 8ft wide, 8ft long and I'm not sure how tall. Took a flatbed tow truck to get it home. My girls have a big run so I am not planning on them spending all of their time in there but their old coop will be no more after a couple of days I am reworking it to be just a breeding pen. so when my silly banties go broody I can put them there where they will be safe, as all 3 of them are sitting on eggs right now.

Hey Everyone!! I am in Simpsonville SC~ I'm going to have to find a home for my 2 Buff Orpington's. I am really hoping they don't crow so I can keep them, but chances are eventually they'll crow

Not going for that, are you?

I love it and I know you are going to be in love with it for a long time. Have you tried to tell if it is cedar? Maybe cut off a tiny sliver and see if you can smell anything or see if it is red underneath?

Gosh, you are one lucky duck! I tell you, I am sure I did not get a better Mother's Day gift than that!

Are you going to build a run onto it or keep it on wheels and move it around your place? I love the wheels coming with it, too!

Now! How are we going to fill it up?

You know I do need a few more hens. I am planning on attaching it to my existing run. The 2x4s etc on the inside are standard white wood. Not cedar, so its more than liekly just cedar sided and the inside of the cedar is painted. so I think it will be ok.

I'm located just west of Sumter near Shaw Air Force Base. I need to rehome (3) roosters. If anyone is interested in a free rooster or roosters...please let me know. I've got two 8-week old RIR's and one 4-week old Barred Rock! Super healthy birds with no issues of any kind. I've just got to reduce the amount of testosterone in my coop/run. I've got no containers to place the bird in, so you'll have to bring something with you for transport. We won't have a problem catching them...they're all sweet as can be (and they're not crowing yet). It's just that the longer I keep them, the more attached I get to them. I think it's best for all involved!
