South Carolina

That means you're not very close. Lol. I'm midstate. I think I will try this local breeder again but see if she has older chicks that might be a little hardier.

Would long time medicated water cause problems? I had the chick drinking for a while water with corid mixed in to treat for cocci I discovered the day after my husband surprised me with the baby silkie. I went for about 8 days instead of 5 and am actually retreating the flock of youngsters in the baby tub just in case after losing my silkie.

Another hot week in the Lowcountry. Less than .5" of rain for May.

Trying to take some pictures for posting later today.

After serving 26 years in the Air Force...there's only one thing I found constant in the military and that's...CHANGE!!! It sucks to have to uproot every couple years! Everytime I felt I can finally settle down, buy guns and hunt again...I got sent overseas to a no-gun host nation! Good things come to those who wait...hang in there and thanks for your family's service to our country. Happy Memorial Day weekend to everyone! Always remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us and FREEDOM!

Yes, I have seen those! I wanted to try them but Terry said they were too small. He liked putting the stripping on and that is okay, too. I just wanted something easy and unfortunately, that is not going to happen with my building techniques!
Notice I put the washers on the top but the stripping along the bottom. I figure they will be more likely to push out at the bottom.

So Some of you have a LGD(and I do to) BUT do you have a SLGD(small livestock gaurd dog)...Best little barker in the world...Phoebe the SLGD. the chickens have been raised around her so she's part of the flock!!!

I need some "DUCKS"!!!!

I've been thinking we'd lost both of our Easter ducks. Every time I went to feed them they were never around. Just some feathers. Well weeks later, DH was at the pond cutting the grass and to his surprise, guess whom he saw..... It was the duck. He/she has been alone for weeks and I think he really needs some buddies. If anyone has some grown ducks available and think they'd be well suited for life in the big pond please PM me. Nikki
