I have Cuckoo Marans, they are english standard and are not feather legged. If you'd like to see them sometime, just let me know. I think they are beautiful. They are very large and have nice color and also have nice large eggs which are not as dark as the black coppers but still very pretty. My hens all went broody this summer so they will still brood their own. They're in full molt right now and don't look quite as nice as usual but I still really like them. I'm reducing my breeder flock a little bit but I haven't even considered getting rid of any of my marans. You can't go wrong having a few marans.

Don, I have Wheaten Marans and Blue & Black Marans... both chicks and hatching eggs if you're interested. You can come by and take a look. The Wheatens do not lay as dark an egg as the others but it's still dark. I happen to think they're prettier and have more friendly personalities than the black & blue ones. But I love them all!

Silkies are prone to wry neck. They need more Vit E than most other birds and they need to eat less corn.
Change the diet a bit and you should not ever have this problem again. I have only had 2 Silkies with wry neck and since I started them on wheat germ oil with extra Vit E in wheat bran, rolled oats, rolled barley, a little flax meal given as a treat every few days, no more wry neck for .....2 years now.

Tell that doctor they were supposed to give you the HAPPY drugs, not the CRAZY!

Just heard my mother, also currently battling some illness, has had a bad reaction to a new antibiotic. If you have a moment, please say a prayer for her recovery and her medical staff to be brilliant and know exactly what to do! She's in an ER in North Charleston right now. Hopefully we'll hear good news by morning.

Sweet dreams and get better, y'all!

Hope yall all feel better quick!!
