House fire in upstate SC was my SIL's dad. It is going to be rough on her...his first reaction was to call her - she & her son called 911....both of them tried to get him out but smoke was so bad they could not find him, even though they could hear him..... her son did have to stay in hospital overnight....please keep them all in your prayers.

How awful Kimberly. That is heartbreaking. I'm so sorry, thinking of your family and prayers going up.

Kimberly- I'm praying for your family. House fires are an awful thing..DH has been a volunteer with our fire dept for years. I've been to several house fires and just bawled my eyes out the first time. I hope your family can find some kind of peace in this awful time.


I may be making it up in my head but I think d'Anver girl might be doing better today. Her comb even seems a little pinker to me. (again I may be just imagining this) She seemed a lot perkier and was walking around pecking for food when I was down there watching her. Yesterday she did walk around but seemed to take a lot of "breaks" where she'd just sort of close her eyes and rest. Maybe she's getting better!

Lauren, I am so happy to hear your little D'anver is improving. I hope she continues back to a full recovery and gives you some baby chicks soon.
