Thanks All for the positive comments on the ladder.. they love it now....

NOW I have a 55lb dog up my butt, cause my neighbors are shooting fireworks. They can not ever complain about my rooster's crowing cause they went to bed at 8. SO even steven I say...

I sleep right thru my Roos under my windows in the morning...took me just a couple days till human nature learned to tune it out...why does it take neighbors further away to tune it out? Fireworks are a different story!!! Upsets more than just you or me, .the small children ,the dogs, the cats, the fowl (chick/chicken/duck/quail/turkey/pigeon/peafowl...etc) the goats, the cows, the horses...and all wildlife in nature...Luckily fireworks are usually only used a few times a year...but I have to wonder why we bird lovers are more tolerant to shenanegans we do not have time to adjust to naturally and tune out? LOL Seems human nature can be natural, tolerant, beligerant, or selective...definitely a catch 22...LOL Hope you get the 55lb puppy calmed down enough to sleep...LOL

OK First I thought the same thing about the pics...well I and many others LOVE the pics...I get ideas from them SO post away!!!!!(hey if anybody doesn't want to look at them they can just move on to the next post) Next I do see SpeckledSussex in you batch!! Love them I dont have one but some time I will... So does the Jack Russell like or don't like the chicks?? I trained my dogs that chicks and chickens are family and other pets,they must socialize with them and be protective of the house and the yard plus the flock!!...AnyWho..Yes we like pics!!!

Well, thanks y'all. I've been working on it for a couple of weekends now. Glad y'all like it. I can post a few more pictures if you'd like. I didn't want to over do it. Since I'm new here, wasn't sure what was to much. Thanks for welcoming me to the SC forum section. I'm hope to learn a lot. What started off as an educational endeavor for the kids has turned into an enlighten experience for me. Here are some chicken pictures as requested. BTW Patsy, the chair is used a lot. I thought the wife was crazy for wanting to put a chair out there. Boy was I wrong. They are so much fun to watch.

5am our little chick decided to start to zip.. I'm so excited.. Didn't sleep well due to all the excitement.. neither did the kids.. Faith was up just about every hour to see if the egg had hatched yet.. LOL.. I don't know who's more excited....

Yay! I brought my phone to bed with me and got up early to see if there was progress! Yay! Cant wait to hear how the day goes. I need to find something to keep me busy so I am not sitting at the computer all day!

I think we are all excited. That picture is great! If you need a buddy, we should have 11 Maran chicks next weekend! Since they are Amy's you know they will be beautiful!

Lookin' good! Sometimes they are sooo slowww! The waiting and watching can wear you out! LOL I have 4 pips today a day early! Yay - I think I straightened out my problems here! Good luck...I am waiting for the "coming out" picture!
