Thanks for inviting me, @ronott1 ! @Mrs. K is the only other South Dakotan I know of on BYC. I haunt the Surviving Minnesota thread, though.

Cool! DH grew up in Valley Springs, a short walk through the corn to MN. I was born in Rapid City, grew up in central FL. We live in the central Black Hills, now.

I have been here since 1999.

Not all people have the same view. That comes from the Federal Land Management and the BLM office for not letting them harvest the pine trees are there any got full of pine bore so now there's a bunch of dead pine trees in the hills!

He's my favorite, to be honest. But I have too many and need to keep my other two. He's the biggest sweetheart and so nice to his hens.
But I need him to go to a great home and not get eaten. He's my baby.
