I LOVE this here thread. I miss living in MS (born and raised).

I lived in AL for a minute and they call diapers hippins. ANd ther ain't nuttin better than a big bowl of feild peas with some sticky bread. (friead corn bread) With sum sweet tea or maybe the occasional sports drink (beer).

Don't know if it was mentioned, but "to be" is not in my dh's vocabulary.

Everything is "This needs fixed" or "That needs cleaned out."

When I correct him and say "To be", he busts out with "Or not to be".

All of my kids now omit the "to be" in their sentences as well, even the kids I already had when I met dh!

I have a question.
Is it illegal to order a hamburger with ketchup only in Texas?

I always have a really hard time. They want me to at least put cheese on it (blech) and some mayo and veges.

Don't go to fast food chain places, but all of the mom & pops and restaurants do this.

THey look at me as if I'm a martian or something.

about a quarter of the time, they don't even ask. they just serve me a cheeseburger anyways.

oh, and I think they're going to deport me because i'm allergic to okra, I dislike white gravy, and i refuse to drink sweet tea. (i like mine plain)
i think the only reason i've been allowed to stay so far is that i favor dr pepper and RC when i rarely drink soda, I love tubing,and i pull over onto the shoulder when people flash their lights at me.
