I'm so excited!! I'll be setting my very first BBR OEGB eggs today!! Jacob (Hatching Fever) is going to incubate them for me!! I have 5 little eggs collected from my two hens this week- would have been six, but one got cracked.

Hoping they are fertile!

I'm going to have to miss the meet up on the 21st. MIL is coming into town for DH's retiement ceremony. So we're going to hit the Strawberry Festival for the day instead. DH has wanted to go for a few years in a row now and we always miss it.

yeah I am for sure missing it as well!! my grandpa is flying in for my sisters graduation and that weekend i am camping with him, so all thought i love the chickens, i cannot miss this for the world!! Thanks guys..

Gumbii, was Dennis in on this too? I hope he did not get the blk mottled.....cuz she is his roos' full sister.

no he didn't take her... jose wants her... but i didn't know she was his sister... he wanted her too... i thought he said she was from grady... Oops...

The white and black laced hen, and the brown, sorta lacy hen are my little girl's sister and mom! Who got those? Had I been online today, I might of broken down, and driven to LA...

Well, if she is not from me then its ok for Dennis to buy....it just that I don't want Dennis breed the short legs gene back in and end up with the undesire gene to start out his program. That is why the pair I gave Sue is not related and they compliment one another for breeding....they shoud produce some quality offsprings for Sue to show in the future.

....That is why I told Dennis to wait for the meet up so I can help him pick out the right hen for his roos...I am not a pro at this but I will share everything I know with you guys so together we will take this breed to the next level where we can compete with birds from east coast.
