My hubby and I had our 20th anniversary on Wednesday. Did I get China? Platinum? No way, not me. I got a pair of cowboy boots and a day of trail riding. I love that he knows me well enough not to get jewelry. I hope we have another 20.

Heather! J Lo finished the molting and laid today!


I seriously worried over watching her molt...it looked like torture...I swear one day I opened the coop up and thought something ate all the chickens by the amount of feathers. She wouldn't let me touch her at all and was so shy.

Yay! That does look pretty bad. She doesn't usually molt that much at once, that's more Gallena's style. The question is, does she still have Blu Kote on her head?

Well after 21 weeks my not so little salmon Fav tried to crow this morning. So now I have 3 Roos including my 2 Arucanas.The other to boys are trying to mount anything that walks by.

Oh my... Carol, that is rotten luck. I would offer to take the Fav (I have always wanted a Fav boy), but I have 4 roosters myself at the moment and that is about 2 more than my flock can handle. I have to keep rotating them through the isolation coop to keep the girls from getting abused. Can you make it until October with them? The sussex show has sales cages. I would think that the auracanas would be easy to get rid of because they are so rare. Are they both rumpless and do they have the little cheek feathers? I will probably be getting a sales cage, you can put them in with mine if you like.
