Morning all,
Day 10 no toilet.... Hired a new company yesterday they came to start digging up my drive way and before the back hoe made it's first scoop, a guy from Suffolk county sewer stopped the job. He made them leave 'cause they weren't bonded or licensed. If this is not resolved by this evening, I am bringing a bucket of SHIrT to someone's office tommorow . I am done with this.

My silkie is broody again. She lays 2eggs and then I have to try and break her for a month or so.

That is ridiculous, about the county too... jk. I can't believe they stopped the job. Isn't it on your property? If they are so concerned about their lines let them hire and pay the guy to come out then and tell them to get on it. This is why we only rank 12 on the economic freedom list. You can't even fix a pipe on your own property? What kind of SHIrT is that?

They fixed it this morning.....
My drive way is now one big muddy river. What a mess. As long as I have a running toilet.and shower I don't care.
The girls are clean also.
Today one of them layed a fart egg.

Iris from the square footage I don't think you're going to be able to plant very many.
I have 3 new raised beds for this year and I'm going to devote one of them to potatoes. It is 3 x 9 can't wait.

Iris,where do you live? what type of sweet potatoes did you order? I can't get to my papers right now since everything is still in disarray . Maybe we can swap a few if we ordered different types.

We have exactly 3weeks til we have to plant peas . How great is that.
My snow is off my cold frame so this week I'm going to start something in it.

My girls are so muddy they look like they have been to Woodstock. If Roberta is passing through she will comment...I hope you are OK out in Riverhead.

One of the workers yesterday has two girls that are getting a little old and he would like to get 3chicks. If anyone has any extra ill buy them from you. He doesn't care what type.

Hi Queenchick. I'm in Ridge and would love to swap. I pulled out my gurney's catalog yesterday and was looking at the Beauregard and Georgia jet varieties. I can still get 50% off till March 15. Snow still covers my entire backyard excepts for the path shoveled to coop. My girls are also mud ridden from the melting.
Wow peas. Haven't tried them in a while. Don't have a cold frame built yet but I might just try them this year. We are starting seeds indoors this year. We bought shelving, lights and heat mats. Looking forward to starting them soon.

Morning all,

Iris peas are so easy you have to. I have turned many people on to Burpees exclusive "easy peasy" you get double the bang for the buck . The plant gets two pods per node they are delicious and they freeze well. I'm putting in 3 different types this year.

Some of my garlic is sticking its nose out of the ground.

Opened my cold frame up and the parsley and oregano are going crazy.

One of my girls gave me the tiniest egg yet, about the size of a nickel . It better not be another fart egg.

Christina, I've been made.. My husband went outside yesterday and saw the little Wheaton old English. All he said is " I can't believe you want to take the risk of bringing new birds into your flock"
He either didn't see Pearl, the pea comb or has forgotten that my original one died this winter. I guess I should call her Zombie.
