Set the henhouse up with a low wattage bulb on a timer to extend the daylight. Not that anyone's laying yet. *grumble, grumble, hands on hips*

Busy day for me here. Worked til 2:30, then went to have coffee with my daughter's boyfriend's mother to shoot the breeze for a couple of hours, then a fast take-out dinner, then tutoring til nearly 9pm. Then a quick kitchen cleanup and here I am.

Laura's boyfriend, Mike, finally met the chickens this weekend. He's really into the whole chicken thing. Nice guy. Nice family, too. Hmmmm... dare I hope?
