Welcome aboard, Jersey Hen!

I'm on LI now, but lived out your way about 10 years ago ... was living and working and Newton. Beautiful area out there ... kind of wish I had stayed! Two of my chickens actually hail from your neck of the woods. Bought the Barred Rocks in the photo as chicks at the Sussex County Poultry Show last fall.

While I'm thinking about it, a question for the gang: What -- if any -- preventative medicines does everyone give their chickens? Do you go with any dewormer/parasite preventions, or supplements, or any of the other products out there? I know, with my dog, I go with all the recommendations -- heartworm pills, flea/tick prevention, all the vaccinations, but I know a lot of folks who don't believe in doing any of those things. So, where does everyone stand regarding their chickens?
