Surgery for who? The kitty? I'm confused, didn't you say he has a heart murmur?
oh poor Ethel, she can't help it, she's big boned, lol! Can you put her on a diet or does it not work that way.

Surgery for me. Torn rotator cuff. Unfortunately, the kitty isn't doing well. He's stopped eating and looks like he's in pain. My daughter's at her boyfriend's house and I don't have the heart to send her a message to tell her Maestro isn't eating.

Thanks for the LOL about Ethel. She's not fat, she's fluffy.

I have an MRI tomorrow for my left shoulder. There is bone spurs and a possible torn rotator cuff. I have had severe pain for almost two years now. It took me that long to get up the nerve to see the orthopedic surgeon. He gave me a shot of cortisone on Monday. I can't get over how much relief it gave me, still pain and popping sounds but much more movement. It sucks getting older.

Of course, the alternative ain't no bowl of cherries either...

The sad news is that we had to put down our cat Maestro tonight. When I got home from school, Laura told me he had developed tumors in his lower jaw as well. He wouldn't eat, and he was very wobbly. I suspect the cancer was invading his brain. We decided the time had come. Our new vet was awesome. Laura and I cried a lot together and stayed right with him til the end. Just as the vet gave him a sedative, he let out a big purr, as if he was letting us know it was all right. He was a sweet and beautiful boy and he will be missed. Big time.

In Albany right now for a visit with my niece and nephew. How sick is it that I miss my girls? I can hear the morning squawkfest from here! We brought some eggs for my sister and brother-in-law, including a couple of green ones. Made a big hit!

I'm glad to be headache free this morning. The ride up here was such a nightmare by the time we arrive Bobby and I were not speaking to each other. I was a wounded bear all day. Can't figure out if it's sinus or a result of my shoulder...
