I got a message from the cream legbar breader
Some of her chicks are hatching out yellow and
Growing up to be white legbars. Something about
A resessive gene.

Well I'd much rather have orpingtons than a very
Expensive bunch of white legbars.

If MPC sells them next year I'll get one.
and a faverole.

Can't wait till later.

I have visited all those places and likely will again.

You forgot the bathtub. I am waiting for the daddy to tell me he wants his quail. All 27, plus 2 pheasants.

Yes, forgot the spare basement and my un-used bathroom ......last house. shower stall became my brooder cause I thought it was so easy to clean that tile and sanitize. Sink right there and an hepa air cleaner kept it all tidy. LOLOL That is where my chicken math bagan. My men couldn't keep straight how many came and went behind that copsed door.............yup.....good 'ol chicken math. For every one bird they saw I had 3 more who all looked the same.

We will convince ourselves of anything for the sake of peeps.

I had quail. The boys are sure ROUGH on their women. When they hatch it is amazing. they pop right out of their shells and are the size of bumble bees.

Aw, those sound too cute. I really like quail. I always end up talking to the pair they keep at the local nature center. Not sure if the staff there appreciate it though. I would love to have some pet quail.... in my next house, in my next life, when I have 10 acres!

Went to the CT show . One rainy cold /windy day.It was pretty funny listening to all those roosters crowing at once. I loved the young kids and their birds.There was one judge that really let me pick his brain . Didn't buy any thing from the tailgaters . The dwarf ducks were adorable. Ride home was terrible I had a 3 o'clock ferry reservation, made it there with minutes to spare only to find out the ferry broke down and there wouldn't be another one till 445. Got a refund and drove home. There were quite a number of accidents.

We were so disgusted with the ride, we tried to make the ferry. That's when we heard one ferry blew the engine. Next reservation was 8pm, so we drove back.
What I should have done was go to the casinos, and take the 8 o'clock ferry.
But NO, I had to be to work.
Not for long!!!!!!!

I thought about the casino also.Sorry I didn't get to meet you. congrats on the ribbons. My other problem was that my husband insisted on setting up the GPS When he couldn't find haddam neck he just used Haddam Well when we arrived at 23Quarry Hill rd. It was woods. Down the hill was a nursery that was open and as soon as I walked in the man took one look at me and handed me a sheet of directions. 20 minutes away on the other side of the river.It was my first and last time using one of those things. Thank goodness I brought my road atlas with me.
