Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Just wanted to offer up one more time before they go to freezer camp.
I have 6, 11 week old BO roos. I will be keeping one for the flock and the reset will be processed tomorrow. If anyone wants one or all please let me know as I will hold him/them for you.

Rich, are you going to the show, or can you get them down there tomorrow?
I have 2 extra sales cages, perhaps you can recover some money for them?
But I'm sure a chicken dinner will be worth more than you will get for selling them... JMO

Thanks for the offer Roberta. I will not be going to the show. I just want to offer them up here to the great members personal flocks. If I get no takers my family is looking forward to the fresh chicken meal. We plan on making it a family thing. A great way for the kids to see the entire process, from day old chicks to brooding and caring for them all the way to the oven. I feel it is important for them to know where their food really comes from. I hope that didn't sound too sadistic.

I agree completely. When I was a kid, we had contests who could pluck them faster.
Feathers everywhere!
One of the things wrong with our world today, some people have to hide the truth from others, and we grow up stupid and ignorant.

Suzanne,

my bro in law is helping me build my coop, and he wondered if it would be too drafty with paneling instead of plywood for the interior walls. What do you think? What kind of insulation is in your walls? Does that window open?

Thanks so much, Jocelyn
