Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Happy summer Susanne.
I've been pretty busy cleaning up after 3 sets of girls. I think I changed their water and added ice to it a dozen times yesterday.
Maybe we could get a few of us together to quilt . If you don't mind I'd love to tag along .It would force me back into it after a long hyades.
Since I got my girls I've been looking around my house and can't believe how many chicken related things I have collected over the years; very strange. My NN found her way in with the Mass girls yesterday I don't think they new what to make of her.Beaky the NN is such a tiny little thing that she fit right in. She didn't bother them at all.Well off to do chores ( I'm such a redneck) before it hits 90

Nice! He looks like he could use some pieces of paper spiked on his spikes
Thanks! There was so much product in his hair-he looked the same when he got home-even in the humidity. It was a big hit-especially with the one boy in his class that has his hair like that (just the mohawk) every day. (can you imagine? It took me 45 minutes! Who has that time?)

Today is class shirt day-and the last day of 1st grade. He's sad. He adores his teacher, she's a wonderful woman. (I'm gonna miss her too!)

New Totes on my tee shirt site, find them here… http://goldenegg.spreadshirt.com/

Still working on the chicken shi(r)t design!

Those are SO cute!

Last day tomorrow. Can't say I'm sorry to see this year end. All my paperwork is done, classroom packed up, ready to roll. Race ya to the parking lot!

Now that I have plenty of free time courtesy of Gov. Cuomo, I'd love to schedule some meet-up time. Rosie, I love your sense of humor. I think we'd have a lot of laughs together. And Maggie, I'd love to come see your house and beg a few quilting lessons from you. I'll even bring you a crocheted silkie chick as soon as I finish her.

Heather, any chance of reviving our zoo plans?

Where are all the guys? I know Caleb's away, but come on...

I left all the girls out free-ranging for about 3 hours tonight. I took the dog crate out of the coop because it was freaking out the big girls. I sat and watch them go to bed: first the big girls, then the little girls and finally the babies. So cute watching the four little babies standing at the coop door cheeping before they figured out to jump up and in.

I hope the babies are asleep in the cozy corner. I'm too wiped out to go check.

We would have a RIP and a half!! I'd love to get together with everyone. The zoo, or the beach at this point, since it so darned HOT!!

The guys are probably in front of an A/C waiting for a break in the weather. My husband and son are at work already, and I've got a cooler of water for them, so I'll be delivering that in a bit.

That stuff is SO neat!! I love the glass waterer. That's amazing!

What do you think of these suzanne? I thought they should be simple so it's readable. Steve always plays schools out for summer at the end of the last day for his coworkers. Everyone gets a laugh.

Question, were the totes not what people envisioned? Should it have had a different theme, like coins or something. Maybe I got it wrong.

Heather: Your garden is impeccable and neat, you should see mine, I don't know what's what. We are having a tree guy come next week to clear away some trees and branches. the garden is not getting enough light.
