Just got home from school. I really loved my principal this year. She sent us off with a nice luncheon. She gave a speech, thanked me for stepping in and made me cry.

I came home and sat with the girls for a half hour. I can't leave the little girls in the coop in this heat. I can't stand seeing them panting and drooping. Everyone's out in the yard and now I hear thunder. Great.

I have to get pictures of the babies. One definite roo at least. Big comb already. Can't decide about the white orpington. She's big, but her comb isn't as big as this Light Sussex guy's. Of the other two LS, one is questionable and one I think is a pullet.

It's supposed to be a BAD T-storm, with an inch of rain in an hour! I'm looking forward to it-the city is 73 degrees right now, I'm at 92 out here. My A/C is broken, and I haven't gotten much sleep, so if the temps could drop for a bit until my BIL comes out to fix the air tomorrow, I'd love it!
I 'm glad you had a good last day-the luncheon sounds nice. It feels good to be appreciated.

I'm hoping for pullets for you. I have one definite roo, and now DIva is also looking manly in stance and attitude. They are both my EE's so they don't really look like other chickens to begin with so I keep telling them "If you Crow, you gotta go".

AND..............I have been blessed with 2 live peeps while I took a shower tonight! Supposed to hatch tomorrow but they came out at 4pm today. I am thrilled! (on my birthday). a BCM and a snaller unknown little one with feathered leggs. Looking cochin to me.
Needless to say I am a happy girl.

It looks like a war zone just one block up the street from me There has to be 8 trees down. I have seen a lot of T-storms but I don't think I have ever seen as many strikes at once.Before the storm I figured I'd leave the garage door open to cool things off and. just push the babies back further into it. Well that was a mistake. I had to run out during it to close the door. Talking about giving birds a bath. It did cool things off though.

Thanks so much! Both are ranting and raving. My little dory (dog) allerted me to the hatch and sits next to the brooder alerting me to distress calls. LLOL
