Now I have 4 more marans out with the broody moms . they are only 18 days old. ugh.......i am worried all this summer work will come to a sad conclusion.

Not as bad as having 3 out of 3 Polish be Roos And as soon as I get home the other day from dropping off the polish one of the black silkies starts crowing at me.Thats 4out of5 that came home from mass I can't stand.Im keeping my fingers crossed on the EE's,although I see a lot of big red combs.They are going to be some beautiful boys and girls(I think 6)

Queenchick: I had the exact same thing happen! After our rooster drop off, the very next morning a splash silkie started crowing. Out of the 3 splash, I'm positive 2 are boys and the only girl has scoliosis and Wry Tail. :-(

I'm wondering if someone could invent an estrogen additive to ensure hens instead of roos? lol

Stoopid, I'm pretty certain that 2 out the 3 black babies are boys. Their dad was gorgeous and at some point I will be happy to share one with you.

I sure am. Holding onto the hope that the 4 white silkie eggs that I have left make it to day 21. 3 look really good, 1 kinda questionable.
1 Blue Orp. and then 4 EE's look great as well.

There is a cure for the AOL problem of not getting any posts. I had the problem and then went and changed my email address on this site to my gmail account and then forward the gmail emails to the AOL account. This way you don't have to give up your AOL account, which, like me, you've probably had for too many years than you care to remember, and won't part with it.

I've never had silkies before he's the one crowing . he has the right number of toes....

It's the only way around it. AOL has had issues with almost everyone. I can't believe that the first Internet provider has the worst possible service. No wonder they almost went out of business.
