I just emailed Doc Brown, as he was e-mailing me.
He asked if anyone here would like to attend a seminar on poultry diseases.
He quoted me a $50. price per person, and said if we could get around 20 people together, he would consider it.
I would like to see our VETERINARIANS attend this, and that price would be pocket change to them.
He would give out a poultry anatomy and disease poster for all attendees (I checked, he sells that for $15)
Please let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested, and if I had flyers made up, if you could post them in your local feed store.
I really hate to sound like I am selling something, but a few of us have had heartbreak knowing the outcome of our flocks.
We need to make this happen. We need to educate ourselves, as sometimes our vet does not know the answers.
I can attest to that, as I just killed 4 of my babies because my vet said it was not Mareks, and it really WAS.

Aw, so sad that you lost four. Hoping, hoping, that the rest of your flock is safe and sound. Where do you think the seminar would be located? And, even if I don't attend, I for sure would give one of the flyers to my local vet. I repeatedly am shocked every time I read the big black and white sign above his office: Baldwin Animal Hospital and Bird Clinic. But he won't see chickens, doesn't know from chickens, and wasn't even curious about my chickens when I called. Chickens ARE birds, no???

Yep. Last time I checked, all MY chickens were BIRDS.
I could make up a sign, "NOT ALL" and nail it on top of his in front of the word "bird".

He lives in MD. I really think he has given me the power to set this up, as long as I can find people to come.
I really want to work on the vets.

I am interested and would seriously consider it, just can't promise anything what with the family life insanity. Please do give me flyers or a PDF, I know my vets would be interested and I have some friends here that might want to go as well.

Absolutely yes! But, when, where and how long would the session be? I'm not able to drive 2+hours for a 10am seminar.
