Merry Christmas to all!

Special hugs for Al, indeed. This is a great bunch!

I assume Caleb is out being a teenager.

I'm worried about Rosie. She was having computer trouble, but I've sent her two texts and a voice mail, but no answer. Has anyone heard from her?

I had to laugh at my girls yesterday. I opened the back door and they all came running, as usual, but then they started coming right into the kitchen. I guess they didn't realize there was a chicken cooking in the oven!

Silly girls.

A Happy Hannukah and a very Merry Christmas to all of you.

Roberta, it is everyone here who participates in this thread that has made it great. All of you have brought each other together. Through joyous times and in sad and difficult times this group has supported one another. The simple request I made of seeing who was out there has blossomed into friendships that might not have otherwise happened. That is a wonderful Hannukah and Christmas gift unto itself.

May we all have a Happy and Blessed New Year. And, may all your Chicken wishes come true!

Al

Merry Christmas everyone! Maybe some of you will laugh at this.

We woke up last night at 1:00 am to the sound of our tree and ornaments crashing to the floor. I felt extremely sick to my stomach while trying to hold the tree up so my hubby could get it back in the stand. Let me tell you, that tree is sharp!

Suffice it to say, there were multiple swear words flying around. We finally got it tied up to the wall and somewhat secure. Fell back asleep at 2:30 and got woken up again at 3:00 to the sound of the dog throwing up,

Ah, good times!

Al, all your good wishes, good intentions, good thoughts and good character have radiated out into the world. Like the butterfly's most gentle flutter, you've impacted the universe.

Merry Christmas everyone...
May the coming year bring us safe and healthy chickens...
Tina ,I so wish I lived closer so I could come help you and your daughter...how is she doing? Did she end up sick?
I so loved all our adventures this year and am looking forward to next years.
Getting excited about the Springfield conference..Roberta, I can't remember if you said you've been there before?
If so, will there be fertile eggs to buy?
I'm going to crank up the incubator when I get back from the show. Is holds 30 eggs.last year this time I had 21 babies running around in the basement. I miss that..
Enjoy the day
Love Carol

Carol, you are so sweet! Lindsey and my sister were on TamiFlu. My sister stayed perfectly healthy and Linz caught a cold but was not too bad. I have forgotten the hotel you are all staying at in January, was it a Red Roof? I'm going to need some chicken therapy by then and would like to tag along with your group. I may bring Lindsey also...

Yes, last year, I ran the BYC table!
What was I thinking?

Eggs are a little fragile, *usually* you need to pre order them, but I am sure there will be many...
Just look for them early, and take them, don't think about it. They will be gone.

Merry, Happy, you know what I mean.

And a special thanks to Al, who brought us all together. :hugs

Roberta, if I am able to go...I can volunteer some time at your earring booth.

Does anyone know what's up with Caleb?.

I've also wondered about him....hoping he is ok.

Hey did you all see this? I had about 5 seconds to skim the paper this morning but it was interesting. I'm not sure if it means I should be adding Italian Blend herbs to the feeder or not....

Heather, thank you for all the interesting links. I'm a big fan of Oregano Oil, but only use it sparingly due to the cost. I'm surprised the article did not mention that oregano has actually been tested and proven to kill bacteria. It was tested after 911 and the anthrax scare. Oregano kills staph, anthrax and other bacteria. I never thought to use it with my chickens. Going to add some to my chicken first aid kit.

DD already sewing! This is the"toy" machine we got her to learn the mechanics of how they work and then when she gets the pedal and feeding of the cloth we will break out the real machine. She loves it so far.
