Thats the boyfriend and i! Hope i see you there!

Suzanne, Black head, copper neck.
Actually as chicks, they are all black with some white on them. Too confusing.
I'll just make her some earrings.
Never mind.

Okay, I can do black head, copper neck, black body. Just need to change colors, that's all.

I made these four today.

The white crested black polish is much cuter in person. Speckled sussex and a miscolored BCM. I wanted the little one to look like a welsummer. Came out bantam size. Same amount of work for a smaller chick that won't sell for as much. Scrapping that idea. And the WCBP will cost more. The crest is more work than a comb.

Love the Polish!
I've seen a fuzzy yarn.... thought about Silkies yet?

Coupe, nice lookin couple. Welcome to the bunch of old ladies.
OK I speak for myself. Hubby still is a hippie at 55.
The ladies love to run their fingers thru his hair.
Not too sure how I feel about that....

Tina, great present. I'd love to be able to spy on them.
And see who my egg eater is.

Morning All
Welcome Coupe ( and boyfriend)
Suzanne they are outrageous ...
How great is that ,to see a bald eagle...saw them all over Whyoming
I now have 2 EEs laying
Roberta , my husband and I are still hippies at 55 (tree huggers) and proud of it
Suzanne you should check into the Chinese auction they are going to have at the poultry congress . I think your chicks would be a huge hit . Put your email address or contact info for here and you won't be able to keep up with orders.
I'm getting very excited about the show..

Ok, Suzanne, that Polish Crested is freaking adorable! I agree with Roberta, get some of that fluffy yarn and make silkies too.

Hello and welcome to all our newbies!

Take lots and lots of pictures for me, ok?

That's the BCM. What do you think, Roberta?

Working on a RIR right now. I'll post that one when it's done. I'm liking the BCM, the BR, the RIR and the WCBP so far. Also white and yellow chicks always come out great. May do a couple of black ones - BAs. I was thinking of a white chick with a black/grey neck - light sussex or columbian.

FYI, the fluffy yarn is hard to work with on such a small scale. I guess I could give it a shot. The eyelash or just fluffy white may work out. I could always make them bigger, also.

I'm trying to decide on pricing. I could use some feedback on that.

Little Critters,
you webcam/video system sound exactly like what I am looking for my coop and run. I would be interested to find out which system you are using and where you purchased it. Sounds so great!

I put a baby monitor (have grandkids) in it but the distance is almost not worth it. Wanted to be able to watch and check up from the kitchen or bedroom. It barely reaches the house. The pan and zoom on your system is way cool!

Smchick: Love your little crocheted chickens.....wouldn't mind having a collection for myself. Let me know when you have them up on Etsy!

Imprfctme: We have seen some stick carrying over the summer. If the eagles nest around here, it will be the fist established nest on Long Island. I have Ospreys that have nested on the end of my dock for the last two years, They successfully raised 5 chicks.

Howlinggood: The eagles have been seen for the last couple of years along the North Shore in the areas of Lloyd Neck, Oyster Bay Cove, Cove Neck . They started staying around since last winter. They are so huge!!! I also kept a piece of the stick that he dropped on my back patio as a souvenir. :)

Not to worry all.....my girls are in a run. Too many hawks, foxes and raccoons etc around here.
