Well placed my first seed/plant order of the season.
Heather I purchased some "okra burgundy" seeds from Burpee , it's not in their catalog.you have to go on line to check it out? Also ordered purple tomatillo seeds.

Oh, I have the okra pods drying in the garage! I was just thinking about you this week when I saw them, I was going to ship them to you in the spring. Maybe we can share and plant some of each? I want to plant ground cherries this time instead of tomatillos Still haven't had free time to sit down and do my seed planning!

Hey everybody, no bloody poop again! Hurray! I think it was shed lining. Didn't get any eggs today either but then again maybe they were sneaky and laid on the straw in the aviary part of the coop. I don't really like using whole straw but someone gave me free bales of it after a scarecrow craft was over so who's going to say no to free bedding?

Also I ended up chatting with my favorite plumbing supply guy today b/c I needed a part and turns out he wants to raise chickens too! I laughed and just told him, man did you ever find the right person to talk to. It's always funny when you realize someone you already liked is also a chicken lover. Are we just the best kind of people or what? *pats self on back*

I've crocheted 20 chicks so far. I think I'm developing eye strain and carpal tunnel. I was thinking of selling them for $10 apiece. $12 for the WCBP because of the extra work. Do you all think that's a fair price? Too much?

Toxic , I can't find anyone selling sexed polish and with my luck (7 for 7 ) males I don't want to risk straight run.

Myer in PA sells sexed polish.

I'm looking for. Appenzeller spitz, white crested black polish, and BCM.
All sexed females with mareks vaccine.
Let me know if where you order has that.

Myer in PA is looking like where I am going to go, they sell the appen spitz and the WCBP sexed and don't bump the price up $7 like my pet chicken does, but no BCM. My pet chicken and Meyer (ohio) sell the BCM, but they are not available until the beginning of summer by the calendar of availablility on the sites. I just have to check on Myer's ordering policy because it looks like they have a 5 chick minimum for some breeds (or pay a picking fee). I will call them tomorrow and ask. It is confusing how the catalog lists the pricing. I love all of the different polish colors and might just ask them to give me a top hat grab bag... lol.

So, how many of each does everyone want of each so I can get an order going?

I think that price is great. You are handcrafting something that is one of a kind, maybe even more $.
