Carol.....I don't know whether to laugh with you or cry with you. Good luck with everything.

My 8 lb. affenpinscher looked at that snow when I finally got my storm door open...... and ran under my table.LOL But we eventually went out together and then she wouldn't walk in the deeper snow and I had to pick her up. Got out the pee pads.

5 of my chickens are having their first experience with the snow and they are not happy hens.

Lots of yelling and whining going on.

Suzanne if tom tells me again how to shovel the %^&^*(* snow I'm gonna level him. He has straight lines issues............

Heather....whatcha making today??? I'm making boxed brownies (cheetin) and then mussells/shrimp/pasta/crab-cakes for dinner. I'm glad we aren't getting regular snow storms lately cause that's when I gain weight.......all I do is cook.
The wind is really blowing out there but the sun is shining.

Our dog who is HUGE was in the snow up to her arm pits! (Do dogs have arm pits?) anyway here she is with our youngest -




So this is some deep snow we have! John used the blower to clear the driveway and I used the shovel to clear the coop path and the front porch / door. Like you Suzanne, I'm not sure about that division of labor thing but honestly I half-as$ed it, lol. Then I made chicken soup with the stock from last night's chicken and veg, and cleaned up dishes, laundry, washed the dog, bleh. I think I am too pooped for cooking fest again today. Something about getting small people into and out of snow suits just wears you out. We did get two eggs already, one a bantam egg again. We are actually low on eggs which is funny. John got some egg beater at the super market, that's all that was left. Felt weird using it this morning.

Love these pics, crazy snow - huh? Don't feel bad, because the ladies are bored with their lockup today, one of them must have tested out breaking open and eating an egg!!!! I was yelling at them (LOL) and they looked seriously guilty. What am I gonna do now?

Carol - I am so sorry about the chicks. I can't believe how many of us are having hatching and chick problems. There a bunch of folks on FaceBook who are about ready to throw their incubators out the window.
