Looks like I might get more or less spared this last storm. I hope all of you get by without any downed lines/trees/etc. Be safe!So who's ready for one last giant wind/snow storm?!![]()
Please god don't let the cable go out, not the internet too....
All the hens were in the front part of the coop this morning making noise, I don't know what for. I'm not about to let them out when the wind is already at 25mph here.
ON another note, I am hooked on this webcam: http://www.earthcam.com/usa/california/lajolla/
Baby seals and their mommies in La Jolla, CA. Just imagine beach weather is almost here...
My brother got married on Catalina Island 3 years ago. LOL What a beautiful Island. He lives out in Walnut. Must have been nice kayaking around it.Looks like I might get more or less spared this last storm. I hope all of you get by without any downed lines/trees/etc. Be safe!
Not seals, but.... I used to take the express out to Catalina Island on weekends when I was living in Long Beach (17 years out there). I used to go kayaking around the island. The first time I went I was out for hours and I stopped at a beach for a rest and some lunch and wasn't paying close attention to where I landed (pretty rough water in some parts and I was just glad to get in). So I sat down on the sand and began to eat and then the barking began. I was surrounded by sea lions. They are big and scary outside of the aquarium btw. I pitched my lunch and left pretty quickly. I guess I didn't notice them because they all looked like sand covered lumps when I pulled in and it is a rocky coast, so... never made that mistake again.
I know right? It is a bit strange. All we have to do is for Christina and I to make arrangements to swap out our babies and a storm shows up.
