Welcome to the enablers' club!
That sounds too sinister. How about "The encouragers club"? We have cookies...and chickies...

Just found out that the Sussex poultry show is May 18. I am going to be in Boston.my sons girlfriend is graduating from med school. What a drag. I figured I would sell any of the left over Araucanas I hatched.
Carol, you know any of us going to Sussex will be happy to transport/sell whatever chickens you want!

I figure by May 18 I may be ready to re-enter the state of New Jersey...

Thanks for the warm welcome, all! Rosie, I'm delighted that Kairi's doing better. I'll continue being positive energy his way! Sally, new chickie a on the way? How exciting! I'm so pleased to meet everyone, thanks again for the welcome here!

Here are pictures of my new babies. I refer to this flock as my NJ chicks. Little Pearl is my first bantam. Lucille is a few weeks older than the other girls. Pearl likes to hang out under her. Laura originally thought there were only four of them...

Ditto, was going to say the same! I can't commit to making it to anything these days but I will do my absolute best to make it to the Sussex fair. For you newbies, first of all, WELCOME!, and second, this is a really fun fair, just the right size and of course lots and lots of chickens! And some very cool looking pigeons, a few geese & ducks and I think there was one Emu last time too. :)

Pretty soon we'll be driving around in white vans offering chickens to people...
instead of ice cream you can sell eggs and chicks...have a rooster crow to let people know your in the area....Well now that i know the show will be in may...I thought it just happened in the fall? Does it happen every season? I am going to have to go and...bring something home.

My husband and I have a new policy. For every ticket he gets....I get the same amount we pay for said ticket in chickens/eggs
:) Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....Since he got a parking ticket yesterday for $95 (friggen crazy price to begin with) I am owed some chickens.

I can't come! My littlest man is making his First Holy Communion that day! But I look forward to lots and lots of pictures from you girls!

Kairi is HOME!! I picked him up a little while ago, and got him settled in my room. First thing he did was use the litter box and ate a whole can of Royal Canin feline SO diet. Apparently he really likes it.

He's totally all over anyone who walks into the room, and he looks like he'd like to be more active. I'm supposed to discourage him from really running around, that's why he's in my room, but he's making himself quite comfy in there. He's so glad to be home, it's fantastic to see. he lost tons of weight, so it's good to see him eating like a normal kitty.

I have nothing planned for the evening, so I will hang around with him later on, and once he gets his pain medicine (at night) he should get tired and both of us should be able to sleep. :)
