What a dear little face and cute fluffa-bottoms! I swear, a box of baby Cochins would cheer anyone up, anywhere! Will you be able to keep this darling if it's a roo?

Most likely not. Unless cochin roos are as quiet as they say they are, I will be looking for good homes for the boys. Know of anyone who might like a standard Cochin Roo? I have possibly splash, this blue one or gold laced.

Last year, my husband put a LOCK on the pantry. Out of sheer necessity. It's open just about all day, but we lock it at night. It seems the "Mice" were taking whole bags of chips, entire jars of pickles, and carrying off loaves of bread! Locks worked better than a cat in this particular case...

We have a bad 'Mouse" problem...
LOL I have a few "Mice" already in the house....Danish disappear overnight. I have even went out in the middle of the night to find crumbs on the table....
R.I.P. Sophia, 1 :45 pm our dear SS, met our neighbors dog.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the neighbor has taken some kind of action to make sure this doesn't happen to any of your others.
Sorry to hear Jim about your speckled sussex

can we see pictures? I don't know anyone off hand though, but will keep you in mind if someone asks.

After the Week From Hell, my sweetest girl fell asleep with her head on my chest tonight.
I can't get over how much I love these birds!

I have noticed, however, that she is losing her tail feathers pretty quickly.
I did a little research online and her vent looks normal with no proof of mites or lice under her wings or near her vent. The other girls seem to be fine. A few weeks ago Phyllis had a big, proud tail. Today she has maybe 4 long feathers. They're all about 3.5 months old.

Also, how many Roos does the Town of Brookhaven allow? I'm AWFULLY tempted.

None. I just had to rehome my sweetest silkie, who turned out to be a Roo. Heartbreaking.

Some people who have awesome neighbors and never any town people near them keep roos, unfortunately, I have some real winners and can't take that chance.

I just noticed you're in Ridge though-isn't that the Town of Riverhead? They allow roos I believe.
