I have 3 days left...I hope...:fl

I keep thinking about it, going out to the henhouse, making sure Lovey is still sitting on the eggs. I'm pretty sure she thinks I've gone and completely lost my mind.
I hope you have a good hatch. I have some eggs due to hatch on Friday in my incubator. I took them from a broody I gave chicks to. The eggs are yucky dirty I don't think I'll give that hen eggs again she had room to get off the nest but she pooped on them anyways. She does seem to be a good mom to the chicks I gave her though.

More than likely it is but fungal drugs are just brutal , usually worse than the fungus itself.
I'll keep you posted.
Try misting with Oxine. Roberta, how fine of a mist do you need to do it and what is the concentration recipe again? I know that I used it for what sounded like fungus last fall and it really helped. You could also try that Vet Rx. I have had some results with that.

Here is a decent resource on Oxine:

Here is the site that Roberta is referencing in the next post:

went outside to feed treats to the hens and noticed 2 baby chicks were missing, not sure when they went missing, could have been yesterday afternoon/evening or this morning. I feel terrible right now. 1 was a rhode island red and the other was a cochin. I've looked everywhere.

Donna, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they turn up. Pauline is always showing up in places she shouldn't be. Let us know.

And speaking of being where they shouldn't be, I've decided not to take Ed back to NJ. Renee doesn't have EEs right now. No way I'm taking that drive unless I can replace the EE.

So..... I'm looking for a home for my gorgeous rooster. Please put the word out.

No sign at all of those two chicks, I have no idea what could have happened. I almost feel maybe they got through the chain link fence in the back and someone took them? Of course, it could also have been a cat or hawk. But why were 2 gone? It's strange and now I am very nervous for the rest.

Shelled almost seven pounds of peas yesterday. It amounted to a half gallon when all was done. Thank god you don't have to do that with snow peas or my fingers would be permanently green

My oldest EE Danaries got locked out last night. These girls are staying out later and later (way passed my bed time ) . Where she hunkered down I'll never know.i usually don't do a head count.shes usually one of the first in. I'll have to start a roll call.

Everyone stay hydrated today and check on your neighbors .

Christina, I forgot to tell you that I finally got around to making waterers with the nipples. The young kids took right to them. The older girls not so much. I clen them out once a day and then throw ice cubes in the top .

Good idea wirh the ice cubes. My girls have been hot and miserable. Somewhere I have nipples, need to try them with the ice. Something else to do....
