I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. Thanks for the compliments, but the M-word has put a damper on my elations. I once had a guinea hen that came up with some bizarre sickness, I named her Gobbles like the turkey from Southpark. Polymixer or something freaky like that. He told me not to bury her in the yard, the virus lives in the dirt and would never leave my yard. So I had her cremated and labs done. He never called back with the results. Hmmm.
And never another problem. Probably got from a pigeon or wild bird.
The silkies, I got hatching eggs from Riverside Silkies here in Wading River. She has a new website if you want eggs. Her original stock is from CJs so I am excited to see how they show. But I think Sussex county next month is too soon. You should go there, I had a blast last year. They had a farmers market, lots of vendors, and I won the 50/50 raffle. Woo hoo!
