Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Al, you could ninja one in. We can teach you how!

I let Gladys and Agatha out together in the pouring rain this morning. Other than one big peck to the back, Gladys left Aggie alone. Aggie is a little traumatized, I think. She looks a little lost. But she found the food and started checking out the backyard.

Agatha is my new little sweetheart. Such a gentle bird - so different than cranky old Gladys! But there won't be any problem with pecking order. Gladys will be the boss and peace will reign in the kingdom.

I put Aggie up on the roost in the coop - Gladys is hanging out next to the back door. Waiting for treats no doubt...

Here's a pic of the girls having their first breakfast together:

Interestingly enough a local rescue friend of mine, buys up silkies at a slaughterhouse in Brooklyn to give them a second chance in life. They are so shy when she brings them home, but blossom onto little luv bugs very quickly...... as of they know how lucky they were to escape that place.I am sure they are headed into all the lpocal asian markets/restaurants as their are a delicacy and of course here on NYC there is a large population/demand for them. Have to get their address and google it.
