Here is good news, my DH, who has not been chicken enthusiastic was out by the run with me this morning and said "you know, we really should double the size of this run so they can have some more room to play when they are not freeranging". Me "huh?" because it was so unexpected and I was half asleep then as I recovered "you know, you are probably right...". By the time the conversation ended I also decided to build a new coop (a smaller 1/2 coop, but still) so I can give in to some terrible chicken math. Teeheehee. Bring on the birds!!!

It takes a tough man to raise a tender chicken! I tried to get Bobby to get me a new (bigger) coop for my birthday yesterday, but no such luck! I was hoping he'd at least get me a chicken!! I love it when they try to pretend they don't care about the chickens. Bobby launched into this whole thing today about how ready Wanda is to start laying, etc., etc. I'll have my new coop, just watch!

I had the MRI on my shoulder and it showed calcium deposits and a slight tear in the rotator cuff tendons. I will see the doc on the 21st to talk about what needs to be done. Hope its not surgery!

Rich, I've been sucked into the vortex of the medical profession. I'm scheduled for rotator cuff surgery on Thursday next week and only because I asked, have been trying to get medical clearance from my cardiologist. Saw him tonight. I have a pacemaker and he won't clear me until I get it checked and have a stress test. They did an ekg tonight and now I have to take a day off Tuesday for the stress test. His office is willing to get the pacemaker rep in to meet me there before the stress test, but apparently my insurance may not cover it because it will be "too many tests in one day". I am absolutely livid. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the pain from the shoulder I'm trying to get fixed!!!!

Okay. I feel better now. I think I'll go eat my leftover birthday cheesecake.

Hope you don't need surgery and that by the time the 21st rolls around I'll be on the mend from mine!

Roberta, sorry to hear about your Mikey. 10 years sounds like he had a good run. I don't think I know who Dawg is, but I do feel bad for his wife, and him too. Hospice will at least be able to keep her comfortable. Still, that is small comfort, and it is so sad.

Thanks for worrying. Everytime I take another test it shows something else to be concerned over. The lung function test I took two weeks ago indicated some lung scarring that hampers the exchange of CO2, and it is something that has to be watched carefully as it could be from the meds I'm on. And it could be from the PsA, or environmental. They don't know and there is nothing can be done, other than stopping whatever is causing it.

I'm not getting the updates all the time for any new posts on the thread. Is that happening to anyone else?

Gee, Suzanne, you've got a lot on your plate to deal with.

On our support group site we always tell everyone to get on the phone a supervisor or manager at the insurance company. Hound them if they will not pay. They use any excuse to get out of paying. That's their job. Remember, the squeaky whee, gets the grease.
